Issue 11: Robert Sheppard

Robert Sheppard’s recent work, A Translated Man (Shearsman, 2013) features fictional poems, but he is has simultaneously been working on what he calls autrebiographies, published in part by Knives, Forks and Spoons as The Given. Previous work includes the long poem Complete Twentieth Century Blues (Salt, 2008) and the 100 innovative sonnets of Warrant Error (Shearsman, 2009). He has collaborated with the artist Pete Clarke and the dancer Jo Blowers. He blogs at www.robertsheppard.blogspot.com, but also co-edits the Journal of British and Irish Innovative Poetry. His most recent critical volume is When Bad Times Made for Good Poetry and he has written a volume on Iain Sinclair and edited one on Lee Harwood’s work. He works at Edge Hill University, where he is Professor of Poetry and Poetics, but he lives in Liverpool.
