Issue 29: Angelina D'Roza

Postcard

… or under these pine trees

planted to the shape

of a bear, acres of brown bear

bear fur like needles

as though beauty

were a bundle of bones

to be rearranged

and blown through

to stand up now

on its newborn strength

and walk towards

us both, the past reiterated

and shed in fur

candles of fur growing

in fibonacci shoots

the birds harmonised

against the bear trees’ growl

a golden ratio

of present tense, to be now

and nowhere else …
